Concrete block walls, columns and CMU built to code — and to last.
Retaining walls, privacy walls, structural CMU and entry columns. Fully reinforced, tied to engineered footings, and finished to match your home.

Block work is structural masonry — and the difference between a wall that stands for 50 years and one that cracks in two seasons is hidden in the footing, the rebar schedule, and how the cells are grouted. We treat every CMU project as a load-bearing assembly: engineered footing sized to soil and wall height, vertical rebar in filled cells at the spacing the wall demands, horizontal bond beams at the right courses, and clean stucco, paint, or stone-veneer finishes on top. The end product looks like a finished architectural feature, not a stack of blocks.

Retaining walls that hold back the hill — without bulging
Retaining walls fail when the contractor underestimates lateral earth pressure. The taller the wall, the more critical the footing depth, vertical rebar size and spacing, and drainage become. We design our retaining walls with weep holes, perforated drain pipe and gravel backfill behind the wall so hydrostatic pressure doesn't build up after Florida rain events. Tall or tiered walls are engineered with a stamped drawing; standard garden walls under 4 feet follow our proven internal spec.

Privacy walls, garden walls and property dividers
A finished CMU privacy wall does what wood fencing can't: blocks sound, lasts a lifetime, raises property value, and lets you actually design the entry experience to your property. We build privacy walls 5–8 feet tall with decorative caps, integrated landscape lighting conduit, and optional pilasters every 8–10 feet. Stucco-and-paint finishes match the house; stone or brick veneer levels it up further. We coordinate setbacks and any HOA approvals before the first block is laid.

Entry columns, pilasters and structural block
Driveway entry columns are where your property starts to feel like a destination. We pour reinforced footings, lay column block (or wrap CMU in stone veneer), embed conduit for lighting and gate controls, and cap with cast stone or limestone tops. For structural CMU on additions, garages or load-bearing assemblies we work to engineered drawings and pull permits, with full cell grouting at reinforced cores and bond beams at every other course.

How we build it.
Footing & layout
Excavate, form, and pour reinforced footings sized to soil and wall height.
Lay & reinforce
Block laid in running bond with vertical rebar and horizontal bond beams per spec.
Grout & finish
Cells grouted solid where required, then finished with stucco, paint, or stone veneer.
Questions, answered.
Do I need a permit for a block wall?+
In most South Florida jurisdictions any wall over 3–4 feet, any retaining wall, and any wall on a property line requires a permit. We pull permits for every job that needs one and handle inspection scheduling.
How deep does the footing need to be?+
Frost depth isn't an issue here, but soil-bearing capacity and wall height are. Standard garden wall footings are 16 inches wide × 12 inches deep, stepped up for taller walls. Engineered walls get a stamped footing spec.
Can block walls be finished to match my house?+
Yes. Stucco-and-paint is the standard match for stucco homes. Stone or brick veneer is a premium upgrade. We can also tint stucco to match an existing color exactly.
How long do CMU walls last?+
Properly built and finished block walls easily outlast a 50-year mortgage. The block itself is essentially permanent; the finish (stucco/paint) is what needs occasional refresh.
Do you build outdoor kitchens and fire pits?+
Yes — CMU is the structural core inside most outdoor kitchens, fire pits and seating walls. We rough-build the structure, then finish in stucco, stone or tile to match your patio.
